Reflection

(Write down your first impressions of the book or play. Ask some questions. Write down quotations. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you really like a lot.)

My First impressions were, that it was like a script for a movie, with the speaches from the diffrent carracters. But I already red a book with this style of writing. It was: "Harry Potter And The Cursed Child". This style of writing is not my fovorite choise, because you always need to look at the begginning of the indirect speech, wich caracter said it. At the begginning it is a bit difficult but after some sites, i got very well into it.

I ask myself, why the writer chose this style? Was this style very commen in his time?

My favorite lines at the beginning of the book are on page 18:

Gerald (lightly). Sure to be. Unless Eric's been up to something. (Nodding confidentially to Birling.) And that would be awkward, wouldn't it.
Birling (humorously). Very.
Eric (who is uneasy, sharply). Here, what do you mean?
Gerald (lightly). Only something we were talking about when you were out. A joke really.
Eric (still uneasy). Well, I don't think it's very funny.

  1. Great! It would be best if you used a spell checker (like in Word) to help you get rid of misspellings such as begginning (beginning), wich (which), commen (common) etc. Then you learn how to write those words while you're writing.
Well, it's a play. He wrote it like this because he wanted it to be performed on a stage and this gives the actors all the information they need, to act it out.
