Empathy (Choose an important moment in the story for one of the characters and write a diary entry for that character (ie. what that character would put into his or her personal diary for that day when the important thing happened). Try to write in a style you think fits the character's personality.) Eric Birling, when he found out that his unborn child is dead with his love. xx.xx.xxxx Dear Diary: Today at the engagement dinner for my sister Sheila I get to know the most unnatural situations. I found out, that my big love Eva Smith was pregnant with my child. She killed herself because everybody gave up on her and that means that everybody also gave up on my child. It hurts me when I say it out loud. I want to be dead to. So i could be with my LOVE Eva and my child forever but I can not get over it my heart. I am more important to myself then everybody I love. ........

Reflection (Write about what you are learning personally as a result of reading this text.) I personally learned from this story that when you are rich or wealthy that you are not more worth then the people which are not. Especially for example when someone is trying very hard to get a job or be successful in live and you already have succeeded in live, you are not allowed to judge them. May by they had some bad situations. It is also very important to help everybody not only your friends and the people which are in the same social layer. This is my personal opinion but i already knew that before i read the book.

Analysis (Name 5 of the main themes of the novel or play.) 1. The scene where Mr. Birling explains, why Eva got fired. 2. The scene where Sheila explains why she told the manager of the Store that he must fire Eva from the dresser store. 3. The scene where Gerald helped Eva Smith by giving her Money and a flat where she can stay. 4. The scene where Mrs. Birling dismissed Eva from the Briling foundation where they help women with financial or social problems. 5. The relationship between Eric and Eva. I think that these 5 themes are the main reasons Eva killed herself in the End.

Analysis (Write about the style of writing the author uses.) The writer chose a script style to write the book. This style is like a movie scrip, in the beginning of a sentence the name of the person is and then the text follows what that person says. I think the writer chose this style of writing because he wanted to be more specific about the feelings and the meninges every person has. Maybe he also wanted to test a new style. Also J. K. Rowling used this style on the newest book from the Harry Potter series.

Prediction (At any point in the story take a guess as to how the story (plot) will go on or finally conclude. What is going to happen.) Point: S.63 Guess: My guess is, that Eva Smith don't get the support from Mrs. Birling. I also think that everybody who is at the dining table has something to do with her suicide. My Guess is, that in the end the inspector arrests the whole family and they get in front of courts and need to explain the whole story to them. But in the end nobody from the Birling family get any punishment because they are too rich and have a lot of influence.
